Being only 20 miles from Gretna Green, brides and grooms have chosen to tie the knot at Gretna whilst staying at Heather Bank Cottage. Transport is available to collect the bridal party and escort them to the wedding venue and returning the married couple to Heather Bank.

There are plenty of local country venues for the wedding breakfast if you prefer to leave the bustle of Gretna itself.

Alternatively the picturesque Village church of Gilsland is situated at the end of the lane and in view from the cottage, and would be a perfect setting for tying the knot.

Heather Bank Cottage is a lovely relaxing place to stay with your chosen friends on the run up to your forthcoming wedding, and has the special touches for the honeymooners.

The fantastic master bedroom with the unique princess and the pea bed, a former four poster and with lovely en-suit adds that special touch to a perfect environment for the newly weds. The coal fire and log burner add to the relaxing romantic ambience.
